Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice. I'm the one at the front desk scheduling appointments, deciphering insurance claims, and making sure everything is going according to plan. It's usually my voice you hear on the phone and I can answer questions about your bill. I really enjoy establishing years-long relationships with patients. It's been fascinating to watch children I first encountered at their preschool checkups grow into teenagers, and I love it when I run into a patient around town. It's a pleasure to come to work every day in an environment where professionalism and fun go hand in hand.
When I'm not at the office I'm often hard at work on the slow re-model of a very old house, or driving around on scenic roads enjoying the view.
Working at our front desk includes answering phones, submitting insurance, collecting payments, and assisting with IT issues. Basically, I am here to make sure our patients’ have a hassle-free office visit. Getting to know our patients on a personal level and hearing about different things that are going on in their lives is the best part of my job. It’s fun to hear about what trips they are taking, and what their families have been up to. I love working with a bunch of friends and sharing stories with each other every day. It’s more like working with a family than with coworkers!
At home, I enjoy farming with my husband of three years. When we’re not farming, we go horseback riding in the hills, laugh with friends, tend to our garden, and can the food we grow ourselves.
I graduated from Yakima Valley Community College in 2013 with Associate’s degree and joined Dr. Howey’s team soon after. It is my goal as a hygienist to listen to and get to know my patients, their concerns, and their goals for their own health, and coming up with customized treatment to help them achieve those goals. Laughter can often be heard throughout the office, from both our patients and our staff. We love what we do, and we all genuinely care about every person who comes through our office.
My gorgeous husband and I are from Colorado, but have been in the Yakima Valley since 2005. We love doing anything outdoors, including hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, golfing, and mountain biking!
I assist Dr. Howey and Dr. Colton with various dental procedures, such as crown preps, fillings, extractions, and root canals. I also give post-op instructions to patients when needed, sterilize instruments, take X-rays, and write chart notes. I enjoy the variety of working here at Howey Dental: there is always a different patient, a different tooth. It may be the same procedure, but each patient’s uniqueness makes each day exciting. Our doctors are very honest with their treatment planning, and are passionate about dentistry. Everyone here strives to provide the best possible patient care.
I am recently engaged to Robert Fleischer, and we have one dog, a Shih-Tzu/Poodle mix named Mitzi. Together, we enjoy spending time with our families, watching movies, and having mini getaways to the Oregon Coast.
I am a registered dental hygienist and graduated from Yakima Valley Community College’s Dental Hygiene School. I love every part of my job, but most of all, building personal relationships with my patients and their families. I’ve gotten to know so many people, and I’m honored to call many of them my friends.
I’m married with seven children, a Chihuahua named Tiki, and cat named Simon. We also have 11 grandchildren with two more on the way! I enjoy hiking, doing yard work, sewing, knitting, and playing with my grandchildren.
Registered Dental Assistant
I attended Yakima Valley Community College Dental Assisting Program and obtained my Associate’s degree through Yakima Valley Community College in 2001. I chairside assist Dr. Howey and Dr. Colton with various dental procedures, and have been a part of this team since 2012. The most fulfilling part of my job is helping patients with anxiety become more comfortable and relaxed while having dental treatment completed. I feel fortunate to be part of a team that is dedicated to dentistry and educating our patients on oral health.
When I am not assisting patients in the office, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and two young daughters, ages six and three.
